How NFED Works
Our process to help protect the community from fraud
1
Submit a Report
If you've experienced or witnessed a scam, submit a detailed report through our secure reporting form. Include as much information as possible about the incident, the scammer, and any evidence you may have.
- Provide accurate contact information (or submit anonymously)
- Describe what happened in detail
- Upload supporting evidence (screenshots, emails, documents)
- Receive a unique reference number for your report
2
NFED Reviews
Our team reviews each report to ensure it meets our guidelines and contains sufficient information. We may contact you for additional details if needed.
- Verify report completeness and accuracy
- Check for duplicate reports
- Review submitted evidence
- Assess potential risk to the community
3
Appropriate Reports Published
Reports that meet our publication criteria are made available in the public database. We never publish sensitive personal information or private evidence.
- Remove sensitive personal information
- Redact private evidence
- Assign appropriate categories
- Publish to the scam database
4
Community Protection
Published reports help others recognize and avoid similar scams. The database serves as a valuable resource for consumer protection and fraud prevention.
- Search for known scams before making decisions
- Learn about common fraud techniques
- Share information with others
- Stay informed about new scam trends
Important Notes
- NFED is an information platform, not a law enforcement agency
- We cannot recover lost funds or guarantee investigations
- Reports are published at our discretion after review
- Always report fraud to your local authorities as well
